Filters of this series use Ecotar multicomponent charge developed by the Geyser Company. The charge consists of cation-exchange resins with various granule sizes, a coarsely porous anion-exchange resin, a special inert resin, and an additional quartz support.


As a result, one filter removes from water simultaneously the following impurities: dissolved iron and manganese, hardness salts, natural organic compounds (humic and fulvic acids, their salts), organoiron compounds, heavy metals, ammonium ions. The color and permanganate oxidizability decrease. The capacity of the ion-exchange charge is restored (regeneration) by back washing with the initial water and washing with a NaCl solution.

Modifications of Ecotar charge

Four types of Ecotar are produced. They are intended for purification of water with different properties, from different sources, with a wide range of impurity concentrations.

 

Ecotar A intended for removing from water dissolved iron, complex organoiron compounds, manganese, and hardness salts. Recommended for purification of water from low-depth boreholes and wells. Visual evaluation of water: yellow-brown color, formation of a deposit on standing. Precipitation of hardness salts on boiling.

 

 

Ecotar B intended for removing from water dissolved iron, manganese, and hardness salts at a low content of organic substances and total iron concentration of up to 15 mg/l. Recommended for purification of water from artesian boreholes. Visual evaluation of water: initially transparent, gives a brown deposit on standing. Precipitation of hardness salts on boiling.

 

Ecotar B30 intended for removing from water dissolved iron, manganese, and hardness salts at a low content of organic substances and total iron concentration of up to 30 mg/l. Recommended for purification of water from artesian boreholes. Visual evaluation of water: initially transparent, gives a brown deposit on standing. Precipitation of hardness salts on boiling.

 

Ecotar C intended for purification of water with a high content of natural organic substances, organic iron, and manganese. Recommended for purification of water from low-depth boreholes, wells, and open reservoirs. Visual evaluation of water: yellow-brown color, no deposit formed on standing. Precipitation of hardness salts on boiling.

Various levels of productive capacity of filters

Filters of the Geyser-AquaChief series differ in the productive capacity, which determines their geometric size, and in the mode of controlling the regeneration of the filtering charge. Depending on the model, the control of the filter washing can be manual or automatic.
It is recommended to choose the type of the filtering charge on the basis of chemical analysis of water, and the overall size and control mode, on the basis of water consumption and convenience of use.

Bactericidal resin cleaner

When using Ecotar charges for purification of water containing more than 10 mg/l iron, it is recommended to use a special bactericidal resin cleaner (BRC). Bactericidal resin cleaner is intended for treatment of the filtering medium to remove iron, special bactericidal treatment, and protection of the control valve of the filter from contaminations.

 

The bactericidal resin cleaner is added to the salt solution used for filter regeneration manually (for filters with manual control) or with a special dosing unit (feeder) installed in the salt tank of filters with automatic control.

 

 

AquaChief-MN

Bulk filters with Ecotar charge, with manual control. The filter operation modes are controlled with a five-mode multifunctional valve -77.

 

The valve provides the following modes: back washing, washing with salt solution, quick washing, and filling of the salt tank. The modes are switched manually by turning the valve handle. Filters with manual control are supplied without salt tank (for this purpose, any vessel of appropriate volume can be used).

 


AquaChief-A

Bulk filters with Ecotar charge, with automatic control. The filter operation modes are controlled with electronic control valve devices produced by Clack Corporation, USA.

 

Depending on the valve type, the filter regeneration can be performed after a definite number of days, in a definite day of a week (WS1-TC valve), or after passing a definite volume of water (WS1-CI valve).

 


AquaChief-Cab

Bulk filter with Ecotar charge, with automatic control. The filter consists of a compact casing in which a filtering column with a control valve is arranged. The filter casing is simultaneously a salt tank.

The filter operation modes are controlled with an electronic control valve device WS1-TC produced by Clack Corporation, USA. Filter regeneration can be performed after a definite number of days or in a definite day of the week.
